The young man was stripped in Sabarkantha
A Dalit person was beaten up in Gujarat’s Sabarkantha district for having a love affair with a married woman. The woman’s husband and relatives allegedly rotated the person naked. A police officer gave this information on Thursday. The video of the incident that took place in a village near Idar town on the night of eleven March is going viral on social media. In the video, a 20 -year -old young man can be seen rotating in a nude state, while the crowd is seen attacking and harassing him.
Superintendent of Police of Sabarkantha Vijay Patel said, “An FIR has been lodged against the woman’s husband and other relatives based on the viral video. The person, who had a relationship with the married woman, was abducted, beaten and naked from her house in Idar town, about 20 km from Himmatnagar. The victim was released only after writing the apology. ‘
Will arrest all the accused soon
“We contacted the victim after the video went viral on Wednesday,” the police officer said. Today (Thursday) case was registered. The accused have been booked under the Indian Justice Code, besides kidnapping, attack and other crimes, a case under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. No arrests have been made in the case yet. ”The police officer also made it clear that all the accused will be arrested soon.
Treatment of victim continues
The victim is currently undergoing treatment at Himmatnagar Civil Hospital. The police have gone to the hospital and recorded the victim’s statement. Based on this statement, a case has been registered against the accused.
