On one hand Gujarat is facing the brunt of rain and floods. On the other hand, there was also the threat of cyclone Asna. However, now Gujarat has got relief from cyclone Asna. Actually, cyclone “Asna” has moved towards Oman in the Arabian Sea without making any major impact on the Kutch coast of Gujarat. It was being speculated that this cyclone, which was formed due to deep depression in the Arabian Sea, could have a greater impact on Gujarat. However, after cyclone Asna changed its path, Gujarat is currently out of the threat of the cyclone.
Gujarat saved from the havoc of cyclonic storm “Asna”
Let us tell you that due to the heavy rains and floods that have wreaked havoc on Gujarat in the last few days, many villages have been submerged. Teams from NDRF to Navy have been deployed in different parts of the state so that there is no harm to normal life. Despite this, till now more than 30 people have lost their lives due to floods and rains in Gujarat. Let us tell you that due to the floods in Gujarat, thousands of people have had to be displaced from one place to another. Recently, CM Bhupendra Patel had visited Dwarka.
Authorities had issued a warning
Earlier, in view of Cyclone Asana, the authorities had asked people living in huts and temporary houses to take shelter in schools, temples or other buildings. After the weather department’s warning, the Kutch District Magistrate issued a video message asking people living in Abdasa, Mandvi and Lakhpat talukas to leave their huts and kutcha houses and take shelter in a school or other buildings. He had appealed to the local people to come forward to provide shelter to such poor people in their homes till Friday evening.
