Students injured themselves with blade
Amreli (Gujarat): A bizarre incident came to light at Primary School in Mujiasar village in Amreli, Gujarat. This incident has surprised everyone. Around 40 students from class 5 to 7 of a primary school (primary school) here allegedly injured themselves from the blade of pencil sharpener under a ‘dare game’. The incident took place about a week ago, the school child did not tell anyone at home, but the parents of some children were seen and questioned, then the children told the reality. When this reality came to light, the police administration, the head of the village and the top officials of the teaching department reached the school and started the investigation.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jayveer Garhvi, students of Mota Munjasar Primary School in Bagsara in Amreli district challenged each other to either hurt themselves or pay Rs 10 for not doing so. He said, “The students attacked their hands with a blade.”
How was the case revealed?
The matter came to light when a guardian, worried about such an incident, informed the school administration. A meeting of parents-teachers was called immediately, but later the parents contacted the police and demanded a thorough investigation into the case. Garhvi said that the report of the incident would be submitted to the District Education Officer (DEO). He said that no criminal intention was found, but if a criminal act comes to the fore, the police will take action accordingly.
A police team visited the school and recorded statements of the parents. There are about 300 students in the school, so the authorities are now focusing on measures to ensure the welfare and mental health awareness of the students.
Students will be counseled
District Primary Education Officer Kishore Miani said that counseling of students will be done. He said, “We will discuss with teachers and parents to understand the circumstances responsible for the incident. It is important to understand the source or factor that motivates students (to hurt themselves). We will try to find out how they were motivated to do so. ”The education department of Gujarat issued a circular to stay away from mobile and asked the teacher of all schools that such information should be given so that any more incidents in future will happen.
