Dausa Borewell Accident: Five-year-old Aryan Meena, who had gone to the fields with his mother on Monday in Kalikhad village of Dausa district of Rajasthan, fell into a 150 feet deep borewell. The administration immediately took action on receiving information about this incident and started the rescue operation. At present, the rescue operation has been stopped late on Tuesday evening. Now the rescue team is trying to reach the child through the tunnel, it may take more time in the morning.
An official said that the operation to rescue five-year-old Aryan trapped at a depth of 150 feet continued for the second day on Tuesday. The rescue team last saw movements through cameras at around 2 am, 13 hours after he fell into the borewell. The rescue team is digging a parallel borewell to reach the child, so that oxygen can be supplied through pipes. An attempt has also been made to take out the child with the help of rope and some other equipment. Deployed several earthmovers and tractors to dig parallel holes.
It is being told that excavation has been done up to 90 feet. After this, a tunnel of about 10 feet will be built, which may take time. NDRF team has also reached the spot. The machine that was sent to rescue the child was broken.
SP Rajneeta Sharma said that yesterday we had seen the movement of the child, now it is expected that the child would be sleeping. He said that we are trying our best, the child will come out by tomorrow. NDRF team is busy.
At the same time, the child’s father Jagdish Meena told that his wife was in the fields, during which Aryan was also there. Aryan’s foot slipped, causing him to fall into a 150 feet deep borewell. He told that the borewell was dug thirty years ago, but it has not been used since then. A motor got stuck in it, since then it was lying open.
