Dausa seat in Rajasthan is considered to be the stronghold of the Pilot family. This is the reason why the Congress high command has been giving party tickets only at the behest of Pilot. Pilot’s special Murari Lal Meena was given ticket in the assembly elections 2023. By-elections are being held on this seat after Murari Lal won first the MLA and then the Lok Sabha elections. BJP has given ticket from here to Jagmohan Meena, brother of BJP leader Kirori Lal. It is almost certain that the ticket in Dausa by-election will be given only on the basis of Sachin Pilot’s choice.
According to the Election Commission there are 2,46012 voters. Sachin Pilot is no less than a big challenge for BJP in Dausa seat dominated by Gurjar, Meena and SC voters. Let us tell you that after winning the Lok Sabha elections, the current MP Murarilal Meena had resigned from the post of MLA, due to which the Dausa assembly seat became vacant.
Dausa assembly of eastern Rajasthan is considered to be a Gurjar dominated area. In such a situation, caste politics takes place here, that is why political parties also give tickets on the basis of caste. Congress wants to give ticket to a strong leader from the general category this time, but by giving ticket to the general category, Congress also wants to keep its vote bank in favor.
Dausa has traditionally been a stronghold of Congress. Sachin Pilot’s father late Rajesh Pilot has won elections from here five times. Sachin Pilot himself and his mother Rama Pilot have been MPs from Dausa. In such a situation, political experts are assuming the dominance of Congress on this seat. On the other hand, political analysts say that BJP has hit two birds with one stone by giving ticket to Kirori Lal Meena’s brother. The first is that Kirori Lal will now remain silent for five years. Whereas secondly it is believed that Meena has tried to make a dent in the voters.
Political experts say that Dausa Assembly by-election is completely based on casteism. BJP has played the casteism card by giving ticket to Jagmohan Meena. In such a situation, it is believed that this election could be like between Meena versus other castes. Experts say that only casteist politics has permeated the politics of Dausa. There is no dominance of parties here. After distribution of tickets in any election in Dausa, parties become extinct and casteism prevails.
