Demand to cancel CM Bhajanlal's anticipatory bail, person filed a petition in Jaipur giving the reason

A petition was filed in a Jaipur court on Thursday seeking cancellation of anticipatory bail granted to Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma in a 13-year-old case related to communal violence that broke out in Bharatpur district in 2011. Petitioner Sanwarmal Chaudhary, through his lawyer, told the court of Additional Sessions Judge Anamika Saharan that Sharma was granted anticipatory bail on the basis of several other conditions, including taking prior permission of the court for travelling abroad.

Petitioner’s lawyer Sagar Chaudhary said, ‘The court had granted anticipatory bail to the Chief Minister in this case on the basis of certain prescribed conditions. However, he has violated the court’s instructions as he is currently on a foreign trip. The court has fixed September 24 for hearing the case.’

Let us tell you that Sharma is currently on a foreign trip in connection with the Rising Rajasthan Investors Summit. The petitioner’s lawyer said that the Chief Minister is an accused in the case of communal violence that broke out in Gopalgarh of Bharatpur in 2011, in which 10 people were killed. The case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
