Dengue has spread in almost all the localities from Patna City to Danapur. Not only this, the outbreak is also increasing in Sampatchak, Barh, Mokama, Fatuha and Athamalgola. Due to this the number of patients in hospitals has also increased.
Dengue has now started taking explosive form in Patna district. The number of dengue victims is increasing rapidly. For the fourth time in the last five days, more than 100 victims were found in a day. On Wednesday, 102 new victims were found in the district. Earlier, 124 victims were found on Tuesday, two on Monday, 108 on Sunday and 102 on Saturday. From the beginning of this year till June 30, only 21 dengue victims were found in Patna. From July 1 to October 10, 1698 victims were found. But in the last 12 days, about 1295 new dengue patients were identified. Now the total number of victims has increased to 3014.
On Wednesday, 25 victims were found in Kankarbagh area, 14 in Bankipur, 21 in Patliputra, eight in NCC and eight in Azimabad. Eight patients could not be identified. Among the blocks, seven victims were found in Phulwarisharif, three in Sampatchak, two in Khusrupur, two in Bakhtiyarpur.
Dengue havoc from Patna City to Danapur
Dengue has spread in almost all the localities from Patna City to Danapur. Not only this, the outbreak is also increasing in Sampatchak, Barh, Mokama, Fatuha and Athamalgola. Due to this the number of patients in hospitals has also increased. According to government figures, the number of patients admitted in government and private hospitals of Patna is only 60, but if the figures of big private hospitals are added, the number of admitted patients will exceed 150.
Outbreak in many plots of Patna
More than a dozen people are suffering from dengue in Shubh Lakshmi Apartment of Sursudha Lane on Boring Canal Road. Dengue outbreak was seen in many flats of Raj and Yuvraj apartments in this street. Such is the situation of most of the streets and houses of Boring Road, Kidwaipuri, SK Nagar, SK Puri area. One or two people in every street have dengue. Fogging is also being done by the Municipal Corporation in these areas on three days.
People in many houses in MIG Colony of Kankarbagh are suffering from fever and dengue. Doctor Santosh, who lives in the locality, said that three people from the same family are suffering in his neighbourhood. Bhootnath Road is the most dengue affected locality of Kankarbagh area this time. Ranjana here told that her husband is admitted in the hospital, while due to dengue the child has not been able to go to school for a week. In between, fogging and spraying of anti-larvicide was also done, but neither fogging nor spraying of medicine happened even once in the last 15 days.
A young man suffering from kidney disease also died of dengue in Chandmari Road. Dr. Sangam Shukla of Shukla Pathlab of Kankarbagh and Dr. Kamlesh Kumar of Saral told that during the examination of fever victims, 15 to 20 people are found to be suffering from dengue. Pediatrician Dr. Sunil Kumar said that out of 50 children suffering from fever, 15 to 20 are having dengue. Dr. Surendra Kumar of Kali Mandir Road said that every day 10-12 patients from Kali Mandir Road, Vijay Nagar, Sanjay Gandhi Nagar and HIG are coming to him for treatment.
People suffering from Chikungunya from door to door in Kadamkuan area
In western Lohanipur of Kadamkuan, most of the houses have people suffering from chikungunya. Pawan Kumar of the locality told that when he had fever, it went away in three days. After that the pain is not leaving. This is the problem with Pooja Devi. Harshraj told that three people in the house have chikungunya. Birendra Kumar of Pathology said that 3-4 people are getting chikungunya every day.
More mosquitoes in city waterlogged areas
Dengue is more prevalent in areas with large drains and waterlogged areas. Many people in Mehdiganj, Biskoman Kololi, Laddu Akhara, Purba Darwaja, Ranipur, Bypass, Marchi, Gur Ki Mandi are said to be suffering from dengue. It has also spread to many houses in Kaimashikoh and Gulzarbagh areas.
