Pushkar singh dhami meets PM modi: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami received a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in New Delhi and received guidance on various subjects related to the development of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister thanked the Central Government for cooperation in the development of the state and said that Uttarakhand developed India under the leadership of Prime Minister is ready to play its effective role in the Vision of 2047.
The Chief Minister said that all Indians are proud of the Prime Minister’s highest civilian honor to the Prime Minister by 27 countries of the world. The Chief Minister presented the Prime Minister’s replica of Karthik Swamy Temple and Coffeetable Book on Adi Kailash Yatra as well as ghee of Uttarakhand’s Kanar (Dharchula), Lal (Purola) rice, Basmati rice, black cumin, smell rains, jambu and local honey. The Chief Minister requested the Prime Minister to direct the concerned for funding through CSR through CSR for infrastructure development in accordance with the master plan of Haridwar Ganga Corridor, Rishikesh Ganga Corridor and Sharda Corridor in Champawat, like Kedarnath Dham and Badrinath Dham.
The Chief Minister urged the Prime Minister to direct the Ministries concerned to install Semi Conduct Industries to develop the Nepa Farm located in Udhamsingh Nagar in Uttarakhand as a semi-conductor hub, to expand the regional rapid transit system between Delhi and Meerut to Haridwar and to include the provision of road construction in Tanakpur-Bageshwar and Rishikesh-Uttaras railway projects.
Giving information about the Nanda Rajajat Yatra, which is going to be held in Uttarakhand in the year 2026 in Uttarakhand, the Chief Minister said that wide environmentally friendly infrastructure facilities are to be developed for its operation. The Chief Minister invited the Prime Minister for this mountain Mahakumbh Nanda Rajajat Yatra held in August 2026 and also requested the Center to provide an amount of 400 crores to ensure infrastructure facilities in the yatra.
The Chief Minister said that a divine and grand Mahakumbh is to be organized in Haridwar in the year 2027. Preparations have been started by the state government. For its successful organization, other works including repair of bridges, parking, electricity, drinking water, toilets, transport, pedestrians for devotees are to be done in Haridwar. The Chief Minister requested financial assistance of Rs 3500 crore for this. The Chief Minister also requested to undergrade HT and LT power lines in Rishikesh and Haridwar cities as well as to direct the 1015 crore DPR sent by the Government of Uttarakhand to automate the power system under the RDS Scheme.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is trying to bring the unique heritage Chaurasi hut near Rishikesh in its old form. The required funds have also been arranged for this. The Chief Minister urged the National Wildlife Board to approve the proposal of Chaurasi Kutia.
The Chief Minister said that an initial proposal of the Pinder-Kosi link project has been prepared in the first phase to connect snow-based rivers with rain-based rivers. If the water of the glacier -based Pinder river is mixed with rain -based Kosi, Gagas, Gomti and Garu rivers, about 2 lakh population of 625 villages of Bageshwar, Almora and Nainital districts will benefit from drinking water and irrigation. Also, drinking water supply will be improved for about 1.25 lakh population of Garu, Kausani, Dwarahat, Ranikhet and Almora cities. The Chief Minister requested to take this project under the special scheme of the Government of India.
The Chief Minister also urged the Prime Minister to allow the development of five hydropower projects of a total of 596 MW capacity in the order of the recommendations of the Committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Cabinet Secretary, Government of India. The Prime Minister took detailed information from the Chief Minister about Chardham Yatra, Adi Kailash Yatra, Nanda Rajajat Yatra, Kumbh going to Haridwar as well as water life mission in the state. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi assured Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami about every possible cooperation from the central government for the development of Uttarakhand.
