Kolkata Rape and Murder Case: On Thursday, West Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar has made a serious allegation in the rape and murder case of a trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. He has claimed that the very next day of the rape incident, the former principal of the medical college, Sandeep Ghosh, wrote a letter and ordered renovation near the seminar hall. The seminar hall is the same place where the gruesome incident with the trainee doctor took place. Sukanta also shared the letter, which was allegedly signed by Sandeep Ghosh.
BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar wrote, “The order, signed by former RG Kar Medical College director Sandip Ghosh, is dated August 10, just a day after the victim’s death. Despite allegations of tampering with the scene of the crime by colleagues and protesters, the police commissioner has denied it.” However, anytv could not independently verify the authenticity of the order.
In the letter shared by Sukanta Majumdar, Sandeep Ghosh has written to the executive engineers of various departments of PWD, Kolkata and said that the hospital authorities want to repair the attached toilets. In the letter, Sandeep Ghosh said, “I would like to inform you that there are deficiencies in the rooms of on-duty doctors and separate attached toilets in various departments of RGKMC&H, Kolkata. You are requested to take necessary action immediately as per the demand of the resident doctors of RGKMC&H.”
The letter further states that this issue has already been discussed and it has been resolved in a meeting today with the Principal Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Government of West Bengal and the Director of Medical Education, Health and Family Welfare Department of the Government of West Bengal. Let us tell you that the BJP had made many serious allegations against the West Bengal government regarding the renovation work. It was said that attempts are being made to tamper with the evidence at the scene of the incident. Meanwhile, Sandeep Ghosh has been arrested by the CBI. He is accused of corruption while being the Principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
