In Chhattisgarh’s Durg district, three people died and half a dozen boys were injured in a dispute between two groups over dancing on a DJ. During the fight, people started hitting each other with whatever they had in their hands. The wood, sticks, stones and broken chairs lying at the scene of the incident are testimony to the extent of fighting between the two groups.

The police was informed about the incident of fighting. After this, the Superintendent of Police of Durg deployed additional forces and turned Nandani village into a cantonment. The villagers reached the police station and expressed their anger for the police not reaching on time. There was a fierce fight between the youth of Yadav Mohalla and Sheela Para on Friday in a dispute over dancing on DJ. The next day, on Saturday morning, the elders of Nandani village held a meeting and asked both the groups to end the dispute.

Ignoring the villagers, Vasu Yadav of Yadav Mohalla called Akash Patel of Sheetla Para at around 8 pm on Saturday evening and said that if you have the guts, then come near Sheetla Mandir. Hearing the threat, Akash reached there. As soon as Akash reached there, the boys of Yadav Mohalla started beating him. They attacked Akash with a knife. Along with him, Karan Yadav, Vasu Yadav, Rajesh Yadav also started beating Akash. Meanwhile, 8 to 10 more boys of the village came to save Akash. All of them together beat Dhannu, Karan Yadav, Vasu and Rajesh Yadav badly with sticks, fists etc. Karan Yadav, Vasu Yadav and Rajesh Yadav died while being taken to the community health center.

At the same time, seriously injured Akash Patel has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Dhannu Yadav, the accused of assault, has been taken into custody by the police. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, SP Jitendra Shukla himself reached the spot late at night. Nandani police station in-charge Manish Sharma interrogated the villagers. At the same time, 8 suspects involved in this incident have been taken into custody. After the Panchnama of the dead bodies, they have been kept in the mortuary of Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital Supela from Ahiwara Community Health Center. After post-mortem, the bodies will be handed over to the relatives.
