Thug caught by police
Gujarat Police has arrested a fake IAS. The accused youth used to extort lakhs of rupees from people by promising them jobs. He used to describe himself as a senior government official. When people complained against this fake IAS in the police station, the police swung into action and caught this swindler. The name of the thug is said to be Mehul Shah (29). Who is actually an engineer and looks after the management of two schools in Wankaner, Morbi.
People had filed a complaint against the accused in the police station
A police officer of Ahmedabad Crime Branch said that the complaint about this fake fraud was made by a person who rented a car. The person had told that accused Mehul Shah had contacted him to rent a car. He had described himself as the Director of the Revenue Department and an IAS officer. After this, Mehul Shah got the complainant to install sirens and curtains in the car and gave him a fake letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Science and Research Department.
The accused used to trap people by showing fake papers
Police further said that the accused has duped a lot of people by showing fake documents and making false promises. He defrauded a complainant’s son of lakhs of rupees in the name of getting him a job in a government office. He prepared a fake appointment letter of Ahmedabad District Education Officer and gave it to the son of the complainant. When the young man reached for the job, the ground slipped beneath his feet after knowing the reality.
Many fake documents recovered from the accused
Police also said that the accused had also made fake work permits and NOCs for fraud. He had also created fake letters of Home Ministry and Ahmedabad DEO to deceive people. Police have recovered fake identity cards and many fake documents from the accused. On which titles like Bharat Gaurav Ratnashree Samman Parishad, Chairman of Science and Research Development Department, Health and Family Welfare Department and Road and Building Department are written. The police cautioned the people and said that if the accused has cheated anyone else then they should come forward and lodge their complaint against the accused.
