On the orders of Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) Shatrujeet Kapoor, Faridabad Police will now prepare a list of working women. Their emergency contact mobile numbers will be taken. Along with this, they will be encouraged to download apps like Haryana-112 (Dial-112) etc. on their mobile phones so that they can feel safe.

Smart City Faridabad is also known as an industrial city. Around eight lakh workers are employed in more than 25 thousand small and big industrial units located here. It is being told that more than two lakh of these are women workers, who go to work daily in various companies, factories etc. Apart from this, women from cities like Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Palwal etc. also come to Faridabad daily for work. Experts say, apart from industrial units, there are more than one hundred government and non-government institutions in the district, where a large number of women are employed. On the orders of the DGP, the police will prepare a list of all these women. The police will also contact the women from time to time and ask about their well-being and strengthen their security.

Trip monitoring made easy: In the meeting, DGP Shatrujeet Kapoor also reviewed the trip monitoring service with the officials. He was told that the process has been simplified so that women can take more benefit. Officials said that earlier a form had to be filled after calling on Dial-112, but now this requirement has been removed. Now women can give details of their journey by calling on Dial-112. Also, the location and WhatsApp number will have to be shared with the police.

DGP held a meeting in Panchkula

According to the information, the DGP held a review meeting with senior police officers at the Police Headquarters in Sector-6 of Panchkula to enhance the security of women in the state. During this, discussions were held on creating a database for working women and the functioning of Dial-112. In the meeting, Inspector General of Police, Telecommunication, Y. Puran Kumar gave information about preparing a database for working women and the steps taken by Dial-112.

Police will supervise during the journey

Officials said that after giving details of the journey to Dial-112, monitoring will be done from start to end, which will ensure their safety. Officials said that women, especially those traveling alone or with others at night, will feel safe after sharing information with the police. During the journey, the team will constantly check their location. Women are also being made aware about this.
