Viral leaflet on social media
To trap the son-in-law in Surat, Gujarat, the father-in-law did such an act, due to which religious animosity increased in the society, pamphlets were made viral on social media to spread religious hatred. The father-in-law conspired to stop the son-in-law’s tuition class. Due to increase in religious tensions in the name of tuition classes, a pamphlet was made viral on social media. When the matter came to light, on the complaint of the son-in-law, Limbayat police arrested the accused father-in-law.
DCP Bhagirath Gadhvi of Surat Police said that Raees Sheikh runs tuition classes above his house in Limbayat Noorani locality. A pamphlet in the name of his tuition class had gone viral on social media. In which objectionable things were written by people of a particular religion about other religious organizations. There was an attempt to spread religious disharmony and instigate students against a particular religion. Hindu organizations had also contacted him. After much discussion and argument, Raees Sheikh contacted the police.
Why did the pamphlet go viral?
During investigation, the police found out that Raees Sheikh also had estrangement with his wife. There were also differences with in-laws and father-in-law Suleman Chand Shaikh. When the police interrogated the father-in-law, he confessed to the crime and told the police that he had made this pamphlet viral on social media to defame his son-in-law and prevent him from getting a job in a government school. Suleman Chand Sheikh is also a teacher in a government school and in the same school he had printed four-five copies of the magazine and made it viral on social media. Such language was used in the magazine which would increase tension between Hindus and Muslims and the son-in-law’s coaching class would be stopped.
Case registered under these sections
Police have registered a case against government teacher Suleman Chand Shaikh under sections 299, 302, 351, 352, 355, and 356 of BNS and arrested him. In the pamphlet which the father-in-law had made viral on social media to trap his son-in-law, it was written “Star Trek Coaching Classes, SY No. 33, Plot No. 12, Pratap Nagar Society, Limbayat, Udhna, Surat. Hate speech in pamphlet
