Three Naxalites have been killed in an encounter on the border of Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. This includes a female Naxalite. Police officials said on Monday that three Naxalites have been killed in an encounter in Abujhmad area of ​​Narayanpur. Security forces were sent for the operation after receiving information about the presence of a large number of Naxalites in the area. Security forces surrounded the area after which firing took place. Security forces have also recovered three automatic weapons from the Naxalites.

Narayanpur SP Prabhat Kumar has confirmed the encounter. Bastar IG P. Sundarraj is keeping an eye on the entire encounter. The encounter is ongoing. The soldiers are retaliating strongly. Just a day ago, a total of 12 Naxalites had surrendered in Dantewada and Bijapur districts during the last 24 hours. Three female Naxalites were also among those who surrendered on Sunday. A reward of Rs 20 lakh was announced on the surrendered Naxalites.

It is noteworthy that the fight against Naxalites in Bastar of Chhattisgarh is now reaching a decisive stage. After the announcement of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to end Naxalism by 2026, the security forces have started breaking the back of Naxalite organizations by conducting major operations in different districts of Bastar. In Narayanpur district of Bastar, SP Prabhat Kumar is continuously conducting one successful operation after another against the Naxalites.

According to a report by UNI, one male and three female Naxalites surrendered in Dantewada on Sunday. A reward of Rs 20 lakh was declared on these Naxalites hailing from neighbouring Sukma district. These four were given financial aid of Rs 25,000 each. Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rai said that their rehabilitation will be done under the Lon Varratu (homecoming) campaign. 8 Naxalites surrendered in Bijapur district. So far this year, 178 Naxalites have surrendered while 378 have been arrested.
