A few days ago, the Gujarat High Court had questioned the Gujarat Police for not registering an FIR on the complaint of the victim woman against MLA Gajendra Singh Parmar. Parmar is a BJP MLA from Prantij assembly seat in Sabarkantha district.
According to the complainant woman, MLA Parmar had called her to the MLA’s residence on July 30, 2020 and had physical relations with her on the pretext of marriage.
According to the FIR, the victim told that the MLA later started ignoring her phone calls also. The victim alleged that once the MLA picked up her phone and made casteist remarks and threatened her that if she spoke to anyone in this regard, he would kidnap her and harass her.
After this, the woman approached the High Court in 2021 and requested to direct the police to register an FIR against the MLA.
