Bihar to Africa High Tech Rail Engines: Madhaura of Saran district of Bihar has now become a symbol of technical excellence, not just historical identity. The modern rail engine built here will now be seen running on African Earth. Under the ‘Make in India’ campaign, the Government of India has supplied world class locomotives to the Guinea Republic for the first time. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday gave a green signal to this historic step and introduced the Indian construction power globally. It is not just a trading deal, but a decisive step towards India’s engineering ability and self -reliance.
Starts a new journey from Bihar to Africa
When it comes to India’s technical revolution, the names of the metros first come on the tongue. But now a district of Bihar, Saran, especially Madhaura, has joined this list.
The locomotives prepared in the railway factory located here will now be fulfilled by heavy freedom on the land of the Guinea Republic.
The dream is coming true due to the joint effort of Indian Railways and America’s leading locomotive manufacturer Webtech. The factory was developed in 2015 under a memorandum. The purpose of which was to make India not only self -sufficient but also to bring into the global supply chain.
What is the specialty of this deal?
The Guinea Republic has ordered 150 locomotive engines to India. This deal has strategic and technical importance not only, but also.
All engines will be manufactured in the Madhaura railway factory. These are specially designed for freight in Guinea’s iron ore mines. These locomotive tropical climates and Africa’s tropical weather are perfectly suited.
These are the special features of the locomotive
These engines are made not only in terms of strength and strength, but also with human centenary design. The capacity of 6,000 horsepower enables them to carry heavy goods in the mining areas of Africa.
At the same time, with the facility of air-decished cabin, the loco pilot also gets cold in the hot climate. In these engines, these facilities have been added keeping in mind the facility of loco pilot in a locomotive for the first time like fridge and microwave oven. Each locomotive with the latest security system has techniques such as automatic brake system, signaling integration and GPS tracking.
Madhaura factory becomes an example of self -sufficient India
The Madhaura railway factory of Saran district has emerged as a strong example of the ‘Make in India’ campaign of the Government of India. From this factory
5,500 engines are to be created in 10 years, including 4,500 passenger rail engines and 1,000 cargo engines.
So far more than 700 locomotives have been successfully distributed in different parts of the country.
This factory has a production capacity of 450 engines every year.
The engineers, technicians and workers here are preparing world -class products using high training and modern technology.
What are India’s railway-diplomacy connection with Guinea
A new chapter of Rail Diplomacy has been added to India’s foreign policy. This deal with Guinea is not only commercial, but a further strengthening step of India’s Africa policy. This is a vibrant example of India’s technology, skill and reliable partnership in African countries.
Countries like Guinea, whose economy is based on mineral resources. They require heavy and strong engines. India is fulfilling their needs. This will strengthen strategic and commercial relations between the two countries.
World class construction and export capacity
Dilip Kumar, Executive Director of Railway Board Information and Publicity, said that earlier the Madhaura factory used to make engines for Indian Railways only. At the same time, orders for engine manufacture are coming from all over the world. Which is proof of India’s industrial development.
According to a webtech company official, ‘Locomotives being built in India are now living on every standard like strength, reliability, durability and comfort. The Railway Ministry has indicated that this partnership will not end here. Many more engines will be supplied to Guinea in the next three years. Africa is also expected to get orders from other countries. India’s railway technology is expected to get a permanent presence in Africa. With the help of which employment and training will be achieved for the local people.
This project has not only provided employment to the youth of Bihar, but they have also been trained in modern technology and international standards. This is a strong example of regional development. Thousands of workers and engineers are employed in this factory.
Webtech has set up local training centers, where technical education is imparted.
With the success of ‘Make in India’, India is now playing the role of exporter and technology provider, not only an importer. Bihar’s Saran has now emerged globally on the technical map. When the engine built in Madhaura will carry goods in guinea mines, it will not only be an iron machine, but will also offer Indian skills, hard work and self -sufficiency.
