In Rajasthan, a case has come to light of the demolition of the 600-year-old chhatri of former Bundi king Rao Surajmal Hada, located in Kaithuda Tulsi village of Bundi district, for the construction of an airport by the Kota Development Authority. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, former Union Minister Bhanwar Jitendra Singh and former MP and former Maharao of Kota Ijyaraj Singh have protested in this case.
After widespread protests, now KDA and the district administration have come on the back foot. In this entire matter, Kota District Collector Dr. Ravindra Goswami has formed an inquiry committee. Along with this, three personnel have also been suspended by taking action late on Saturday night. These include Tehsildar Praveen Kumar, Land Records Inspector Muralidhar and Patwari Ramnivas.
Karani Sena has also entered into this matter. Karani Sena has warned to build Surajmal Hada’s chhatri again at 11 am on Sunday. The investigation committee formed on the instructions of District Collector and KDA Commissioner Dr. Goswami has assigned the investigation to Subdivision Officer Gajendra Singh, KDA Special Officer Malvika Tyagi and Tehsildar Ladpura Harinarayan Soni. This committee will submit the report to the District Collector on Sunday.
