Uttarakhand News: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami recently met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. In this meeting, the Chief Minister not only made important proposals to speed up the development of the state, but also presented a glimpse of a “new Uttarakhand” which is digitally strong, disaster-reacting and industrially self-sufficient. Sources say that the Union Home Minister has given Dhami some assurance on this, which is yet to be revealed.
Cyber Excellence Center: Digital Safety armor
The Chief Minister has demanded a special central assistance of ₹ 63.60 crore from the Home Minister to establish a state -of -the -art ‘Cyber Center of Excellence’ in Dehradun. This center:

This step of Dhami is considered decisive towards making Uttarakhand a cyber -forming and vigilant state, especially when the number of cyber crimes across the country is increasing rapidly.
New definition in disaster management
Natural disasters are common in a mountainous state like Uttarakhand. But now the Chief Minister has made a practical demand in this direction – he has also appealed to include power generation, transmission and distribution structure in the provision of NDRF/SDRF.
If this demand is considered, then after the disaster in the state, there will be speed and transparency in restoring the power system.
Extension of Sitarganj Jail
In view of the increasing population and security requirements of the state, the Dhami government has demanded approval of ₹ 150.16 crore for the expansion of Sitarganj Central Prison. This will strengthen the corrective system and the judicial process will also be smooth.
New investment flight, Uttarakhand Investment Festival
Uttarakhand signed a letter (MOU) on more than ₹ 3.5 lakh crore investment proposals during the Global Investors Summit in the year 2023. Now Chief Minister Dhami wants that success to be brought to the ground.
He proposed that ‘Uttarakhand Investment Festival’ should be organized in Pantnagar-Rudrapur Industrial Belt, in which Amit Shah is the chief guest.
The event can be a big step towards setting up the state as an industrial hub.
