Fire breaks out in Gujarat’s Fortune Mall
A massive fire suddenly broke out in the Fortune Mall located on Citylight Road in the posh area of Surat, due to which there was an atmosphere of chaos in the entire area. The fire that broke out in Amritaya Spa and Gym located on the third floor of the mall was so terrible that two women working in the spa died on the spot due to suffocation. Let us tell you that this mall is right in front of the office of Home Minister Harsh Shanghvi. As soon as information about the incident was received, the fire department team reached the spot and started the work of extinguishing the fire.
The fire spread within a few moments
Firefighters told that the fire spread so fast that within a few moments it spread throughout the spa, and a plume of smoke rose all around, causing chaos. To save the women trapped in the fire, firefighters tried to enter Amritaya Spa by breaking the glass of the mall’s ventilator with the help of a loader crane. After much effort, they were able to enter the spa and tried to save the trapped women, but two women present in the spa died on the spot due to suffocation due to smoke.
Two women died of suffocation
People told that a total of five women worked in Amritaya Spa, out of which three women ran away from the door after the fire but two women went inside the spa to escape to the bathroom. The fire spread so fast that the smoke spread and both the women died of suffocation due to the smoke.
According to primary information, both the women are said to be residents of Nagaland and both had come to Surat for livelihood. At present the cause of the fire is being said to be short circuit. Police are present on the spot and investigating.
