Vadodara: Police has taken swift action in the gang rape case of a minor in Vadodara, Gujarat. The police have arrested the three accused within 48 hours of the incident. These accused had absconded after committing the incident. The police had also examined more than 1100 CCTVs to catch the accused. There is also news that a bulldozer will run on the house of the accused.
What is the whole matter?
After 48 hours of efforts, the police have arrested all three accused in the rape case of a minor in Bhayali, Vadodara. These three accused were tracked because the call was received for just three seconds. This incident took place on October 4, when the three accused absconded after raping a minor girl sitting with their friend.
Let us tell you that this incident, which happened on the second night of Navratri, had created panic in the entire city. The incident took place at a deserted place, where there were no CCTV cameras and there were only a few people coming and going. A team of 65 people including 2 police inspectors, 8 police sub-inspectors and 55 policemen, under the supervision of ACP, was engaged in crime detection regarding this incident which took place around 11 pm in the night.
There were no CCTV cameras, so the police started reverse CCTV investigation for detection. One hour before the incident, all the CCTV cameras of Bhayli and its surrounding areas were checked, in one of which the accused were seen leaving with the vehicle. Due to which the police noticed that the accused had parked their bike at one place and gone somewhere else. Investigation revealed that they had gone to a paan parlor. Later, the police showed alertness and caught all three.
During this period, more than 4 lakh phone locations of 5 to 6 towers were scrutinized, in which 60 suspicious phone locations were found. After the incident, the accused had tea at Rajwadi Hotel at 1.30 in the night. The police found an important link from this place.
The police caught the accused Munna while sleeping from his house at 1 o’clock in the night. After interrogating him, he gave the names of the other two accused, Mumtaz and Shahrukh, and they were also arrested. The police carried out the entire operation between 1 am and 4 am in the night. During this period, more than 70 thousand footage of more than 1100 CCTV cameras covering the 45 km route were checked and more than 4 lakh calls were traced. The police arrested the accused within 48 hours.
Where are the accused from?
The accused Munna Abbas Banjara is a resident of Mahuva Pakad village in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh and had come to Vadodara 10 years ago. He lives with his pregnant wife in Tandalja, Vadodara. He had used the bullet given to him by his father-in-law while committing the crime.
The second accused Mumtaz alias Aftab Banjara is a resident of Rambagh Bada village of Uttar Pradesh. Aftab, who studied till 7th class, came to Vadodara for employment in Uttar Pradesh about 14 years ago and lives with his wife and 3 children in a rented house in Tandalja area.
The third accused, Shahrukh Kismat Ali Banjara, is a resident of Lorpur Tajan in Akbarpur district of Uttar Pradesh, who came to Vadodara 14 years ago for employment and lives in Tandalja area of Vadodara with his wife and two children and works in POP and color work. Works as a labourer.
Bulldozer will run on the house of gangrape accused
Bulldozer will run on the house of Vadodara gangrape accused. A notice has been issued by Vadodara Municipal Corporation against their illegal houses. Time has been given to submit proof of validity till Friday.
