Gandhinagar: In view of the agreement between India and Pakistan to stop military action, the Gujarat government on Tuesday relaxed its previous order and gave the administrative heads of the departments the right to approve the holidays of the state employees. The notification issued by the General Administration Department said that in view of the current situation, all the administrative prominent employees of various departments can now approve the holidays.
Cancel can be discharged during emergency
The notification states that if an emergency arises, then the major holidays of the concerned departments or offices can also be canceled and employees will have to come on duty with immediate effect. Even if needed, all the employees will have to be available at all times through phone or email even if needed.
The holiday was canceled on May 9
Let us know that on May 9, the Gujarat government had canceled the holidays of all its employees with immediate effect in view of the India-Pakistan military struggle. The notification issued by the GAD stated that all types of holidays taken by the state government employees have been canceled with immediate effect, except for the required holidays for unavoidable conditions. Employees and officials were instructed to immediately return to their respective work and not to leave the headquarters without the prior approval of the department head.

At the same time, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said on Tuesday that through Operation Sindoor, India has given a message that it will not compromise its zero tolerance policy against terrorism. Speaking during the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ taken out to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor, he also said that this military campaign has raised the spirit of nationalism. The Chief Minister took part in the walking visit from Vadaj area of the city and ended at the statue of Subhash Chandra Bose at RTO Circle, covering a distance of about 1.5 km.
