Husband and wife climbed on top of the car in the middle of the river

In Sabarkantha district, a husband and wife (couple) got stuck in a car due to a sudden flood in the river. Its shocking video is going viral on social media. Due to the sudden increase in the flow of water in the river, the car remained submerged in water for several hours.

In Gujarat’s Sabarkantha district, a couple travelling in a car climbed on the roof of the car and were swept away along with the car in the strong current of water. The couple travelling in the car remained stranded for a long time in the heavy water flow in the river between Vadiyavir Bhootiya in Idar taluka.

Local people said that as the water flow increased while crossing the river, the car got pulled. The couple in the car climbed on the roof of the car to escape from the water. Local people tried to save the couple in the car.
Taken out after water flow reduced
Due to the fast flow of water in the river, there were a lot of difficulties in the rescue operation. Local people informed the Idar Fire Brigade. The fire brigade team reached the spot. Both of them were taken out as soon as the flow of water in the river decreased.
Local people also helped
This action was taken by the team of Idar and Himmatnagar fire officers. The man and woman were rescued safely from the top of the car. Two fire teams, SDM Mamlatdar, police and local people on the spot saved the couple in the car from the strong current in the river.
