A man from Gujarat has been convicted for carrying out terrorist acts in India and conspiring against India in collaboration with an agent of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. Let us tell you that a special court of Lucknow has declared a person guilty in this case. Giving this information, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) said on Wednesday that this case is of the year 2020. This case was registered in Lucknow in the year 2020. The court has declared the second accused Rajakbhai Kumbhar guilty in this case. Regarding this, the Central Investigation Agency said that the special court has convicted Kumbhar under different cases of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and sentenced him separately on Tuesday.

Let us tell you that this case involves a maximum punishment of 6 years of rigorous imprisonment. He said all of Kumbhar’s sentences would run concurrently. Earlier, Mohammad Rashid of Chandauli district was convicted in this case by the special court of NIA. ATS had arrested Rashid accusing him of being in contact with agents of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. During this time, this case was registered in Gomti Nagar police station of Lucknow. ATS had accused Rashid of providing photographs of sensitive and strategically important establishments and information about the activities of the Indian Army to Pakistani agents.

Regarding this, NIA said that these pictures were taken by Rashid himself on his mobile phone. In April 2020, NIA took over the investigation of this case. He has filed a charge sheet against Rashid in July 2020. In February 2021, the NIA had filed a supplementary letter against Kumbhar. NIA said that its investigation revealed that Kumbhar had conspired with Rashid and a Pakistan-based ISI agent to carry out terrorist acts in India.
