Hand grenade found in Kandla Special Economic Zone
Kutch: A hand grenade has been found in the Kandla Special Economic Zone of Gujarat. According to preliminary information, it is suspected that this hand grenade belongs to the US Army. Investigation has revealed that the hand grenade was found in a waste consignment imported from abroad.
Police is investigating the matter
According to the information, after receiving information about hand grenades being found in the special economic zone of Kandla port, the East Kutch SP and a police convoy reached the spot and started investigating how this grenade came to Kandla SEZ. According to initial information, this hand grenade is believed to be of the US Army.
A man was caught taking a bribe of Rs 10 lakh in Rajkot
On the other hand, a case has been registered against a Mumbai policeman after a middleman was caught allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 10 lakh from a person in Rajkot. Gujarat Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) gave this information on Saturday. The ACB said that this middleman was taking bribe on behalf of the said policeman. It said that an FIR was registered on Friday under the Prevention of Corruption Act against Inspector Digambar Pagar of Matunga police station in Mumbai. The ACB said that Pagar had sent a notice to a Rajkot person to record his statement in connection with a crime committed in the Matunga police station area.
The ACB said that on behalf of the police inspector, middleman Jaimin Savaliya contacted the complainant and told him that he knew Pagar and if he wanted that he should not be arrested and harassed after this notice, then he should give him Rs 10 lakh. The complainant was not in favour of giving bribe and hence he contacted the ACB. According to the bureau, ACB officials laid a trap and arrested Savaliya red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10 lakh from the complainant.
