Balaghat police of Madhya Pradesh got a big success on Friday. On the information of an informer, the Hawk Force of the state police arrested 32-year-old Naxalite woman ACM Sajanti, wife of Ganesh, from the forest of Parsatola Chicharangpur of Kanha National Park under Baihar police station. The Naxalite woman was being searched by the police of three states.
The governments of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra had declared a total bounty of Rs 14 lakh on this hard core female Naxalite. The accused woman has 6 serious cases registered against her like murder, attempt to murder during Naxalite activities in Madhya Pradesh. Police have recovered pistol, magazine, axe and other items from the female Naxalite. A case has been registered against the female Naxalite in Baihar police station.
According to information received from Balaghat police, the arrested female Naxalite Sajanti is originally a resident of Naingudda of Kasansur Outpost under Kotmi police station of Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. Currently, she was a member of Khatia Mocha Area Committee of Kanha Bhoramdev Division. She joined the Naxalite organization in 2011. Since 2016, she has been working as an active member of Khatia Mocha Dalam under KB Division in MMC Zone. A total of 6 serious cases like murder of informers, attempt to murder are registered against the Naxalite woman in Madhya Pradesh. Balaghat police is collecting information about the cases registered against her in other states. The Madhya Pradesh government had announced a reward of 3 lakhs, Chhattisgarh government had announced a reward of 5 lakhs and Maharashtra government had announced a reward of 6 lakhs on this woman.
Balaghat SP Nagendra Singh said that when the Hawk Force team was bringing the female Naxalite, other Naxalites of KB Division opened fire to free her. In response to the Naxalite firing, the Hawk Force soldiers also opened fire. After that the Naxalites fled towards the forest. A team of CRPF, Cobra and Hawk Force soldiers is searching for the Naxalites who fled towards the forest after the encounter.
SP said that police had received information that a group of Naxalites of KB Division was present in Chicharangpur forest area of Parsa Tola under Baihar police station area. After the information, the Special Operation Group of Hawk Force was sent for search operation in the area. During the search, when two suspects were seen, the Hawk Force team surrounded them and tried to catch them. Hard core female Naxalite Sajanti was caught in this. However, another Naxalite managed to escape.
