Haridwar Mansa Devi Temple Stampede: Today, a heartbreaking incident came to light at the Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. In this chaos, people started running to save their lives, causing the situation to become more frightening.
Chief Minister expressed deep mourning
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over the accident. He said, “The Mansa Devi temple route in Haridwar has received extremely sad news of a stampede. SDRF, local police and other rescue teams are engaged in relief work. I am constantly in touch with the local administration and monitor the situation. I pray to Mata Rani for all the devotees to be safe.”

Treatment of injured continues
Giving information on the incident, SSP Pramendra Singh Doval of Haridwar said that about 33 people were evacuated after reaching the spot, out of which 6 people died. He said, “The injured are immediately admitted to the hospital. Initial investigation shows that the rumor of electric current caused a stampede. The situation is now completely under control and the investigation team is present on the spot.”
