Haryana Cabinet: BJP government was formed in Haryana for the third consecutive time. Naib Singh Saini took oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana for the second time today. During this, BJP and NDA leaders from across the country participated in the swearing-in ceremony. Naib Singh Saini was sworn in by Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya. With this, 13 MLAs have been included in the cabinet. MLAs Anil Vij, Krishna Lal Panwar, Rao Narbir, Mahipal Dhanda, Vipul Goyal, Arvind Sharma, Shyam Singh Rana, Ranbir Gangwa, Krishna Bedi, Shruti Chaudhary, Aarti Rao, Rajesh Nagar and Gaurav Gautam have been made ministers in the government. Of the 13 BJP ministers, six have come from other parties. Only four are the product of the Sangh.
Arvind Sharma
Gohana MLA Arvind Sharma has been included in the cabinet. He is considered close to the BJP high command. Arvind was a leader of the Congress Party. In 2014, he left Congress and rode on the elephant of BSP. BSP made him the chief ministerial face in the elections. But he lost the election. Sharma came into limelight when he defeated Deependra Hooda from Rohtak seat while contesting on BJP ticket in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. However, he had to face defeat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Became MLA by defeating Jagbir Mallik in assembly elections.
Rao Narveer
Rao Narveer, MLA from Badshahpur seat, has been made a minister in the government. Before joining BJP, Rao had been part of many other parties. Rao Narveer has been a member of Lok Dal, Congress, Haryana Vikas Party, Haryana Janhit Congress and BSP. He left the party after losing the MLA election from BJP in 2005. In the 2009 elections, he contested the Lok Sabha elections from Haryana Janhit Congress (BL) but lost. He again returned to BJP in 2014. He was elected MLA from Badshahpur assembly seat. He won this seat in this election also. A prominent leader of South Haryana and considered an opponent of Rao Inderjit in the Ahirwal belt. Narveer has also been a minister in Manohar Lal Khattar’s government.
Aarti Rao
Aarti Rao, daughter of Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh and granddaughter of former Chief Minister Rao Birendra Singh, has been included in the cabinet as soon as she became MLA for the first time. She was elected MLA from Ateli in the assembly elections. Aarti Rao joined BJP when her father Rao Inderjit resigned from Congress. Rao Inderjit was also involved in the race for the post of Chief Minister. Aarti’s father is said to be behind her joining the cabinet.
Shyam Singh Rana
Shyam Singh Rana, MLA from Radaur, Yamunanagar, has been given the post of minister. He had joined BJP even before the elections. Earlier in 2020, he had left the party while supporting the farmers. After which he joined INLD. Last July, he again joined BJP. He has defeated Bishan Singh of Congress in the assembly elections. Rana is considered a big leader of Rajputs. BJP has tried to woo the Rajputs through them.
Ranveer Gangwa
Ranveer Gangwa, who reached the House after winning the election from Barwala seat of Hisar, has been made a minister. Before BJP he was in INLD. In 2014, Ranbir Gangwa was elected MLA from Nalwa. Joined the Bharatiya Janata Party just before the 2019 Indian general elections. He also won from Nalwa in the 2019 assembly elections. This time the party changed his seat. However, he also won from Barwala seat.
Shruti Chaudhary
Chaudhary Bansilal’s granddaughter Shruti Chaudhary has been given the post of minister in the Nayab government. Just before the elections, Shruti had taken membership of BJP along with her mother. His mother Kiran is a Rajya Sabha MP. Congress Party fielded Shruti from Bhiwani-Mahendragarh seat in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. Shruti was elected MP from this seat for the first time. But she could not win the elections in 2014. After not getting the ticket in 2024, he turned to BJP in June. Now he is MLA from Tosham assembly seat.
The product of a union of just four leaders
Out of 13 ministers, only four have been associated with the BJP organization and the Sangh. Along with Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, only three ministers Mahipal Dhanda, Gaurav Gautam and Anil Vij are basically the products of BJP and RSS. Apart from these, all the ministers have come to BJP from other parties. BJP government has been formed in Haryana for the third consecutive time. The party has formed the government by winning 48 out of 90 seats.
