Haryana Election 2024: The three Lals have dominated the politics of Haryana for a long time. The politics of the state has revolved around Devi Lal, Bansilal and Bhajan Lal for a long time. Now the political era of these three veteran politicians is over but the next generations of these three leaders are seen active in the political arena to take over their legacy.

These days, campaigning for the Haryana Assembly elections is in full swing and all political parties are trying to show their strength.

In such a situation, everyone’s eyes are on the politics of the people associated with the families of Devi Lal, Bansilal and Bhajan Lal. However, in the politics of Haryana, the families associated with the three Lals do not seem to be as strong as before. Devi Lal’s family is a victim of internal strife, while on the other hand, the members of Bhajan Lal and Bansilal’s families are trying to sail through the elections with the help of BJP.

Devi Lal’s family is a victim of internal conflict

After being expelled from Haryana politics, Tau Devi Lal had shown his influence in the national politics as well. Devi Lal’s family now seems to be divided into many camps. There is a lot of infighting among these camps and they are trying to defeat each other.

On one hand, Abhay Chautala wants to show his strength through the Indian National Lok Dal, while on the other hand, former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala is trying his best to become powerful once again through the Jannayak Janata Party. Ranjit Chautala was with the BJP till now, but after not getting a ticket from the BJP, he has contested the assembly elections as an independent candidate.

BJP’s support to Bansilal and Bhajanlal’s clan

On the other hand, the family members of two former Haryana Chief Ministers Bansi Lal and Bhajan Lal have joined hands with the BJP to enhance their political influence. The family members of these two veteran leaders have accepted the leadership of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini.

BJP has projected Naib Singh Saini as the CM candidate in this assembly election and thus the members of Bansi Lal and Bhajan Lal clans no longer have any claim for the CM post. However, within BJP, Anil Vij and Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh have definitely presented their claim for the CM post.

BJP fielded Kuldeep Bishnoi’s son

Although Devi Lal’s family is doing politics apart from BJP and Congress, the family does not have the political power to claim the post of CM. Kuldeep Bishnoi, son of former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, is also not in a position to make any major political claim. Kuldeep Bishnoi joined BJP in 2022 and now the party has fielded Kuldeep’s son Bhavya Bishnoi in the election.

Kuldeep Bishnoi was once considered a powerful man in Haryana politics but in 2007 he parted ways with the Congress. Actually, he left the party in anger over Bhupendra Singh Hooda being made the CM. After this, he could not establish his political strength.

Kiran Chaudhary’s daughter also relies on BJP

Bansi Lal’s family is also with the BJP. Bansi Lal’s daughter Kiran Chaudhary has been made a Rajya Sabha member by the BJP while Kiran Chaudhary’s daughter Shruti Chaudhary is contesting the assembly elections on a BJP ticket. Kiran Chaudhary also had enmity with Hooda and that is why she had decided to join the BJP.

After the 2014 elections, the BJP became very strong in Haryana politics and after that, the support base of the members of the clan of the three Lals of Haryana, Devi Lal, Bansilal and Bhajan Lal, continuously weakened.

Now Devi Lal’s family is definitely divided in an attempt to show its strength while the members of Bhajan Lal and Bansilal’s clan are trying to achieve political success with the help of BJP.
