The family says that this is not an encounter but a murder. They said that their son was afraid of even firecrackers, how could he snatch a gun and fire it. They have also accused the school administration of framing him.
Accused Akshay Shinde was accused of raping a minor girl in a school in Badlapur. He was a sweeper working on contract basis in the school. Shinde was arrested on 17 August. It was alleged that he raped two girls aged 4 and 5 years in the school toilet. Akshay’s family has demanded an investigation in this case.
Akshay’s father Anna Shinde said that his son has been murdered and it should be investigated. Shinde’s maternal uncle and mother say that the police and the school administration had conspired together and Akshay was falsely implicated. They said, Akshay had also told that he was beaten badly in police custody. The accused’s mother said that he could not snatch the weapon from the police. It is difficult to believe the police’s words.
He said, Akshay was not depressed. The police killed our son. The school administration should also be investigated. The police made him write something but it is not known what was written. He said, my son was scared of lighting firecrackers and even crossing the road. How could he snatch the gun of a policeman?
Let us tell you that in the Badalpur case, a case has also been registered against the chairman and secretary of the school under the POCSO Act for not informing the police immediately and for negligence. The special court had also refused to grant anticipatory bail to both of them. After this, they have approached the High Court.
Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan also raised questions on this encounter. He said that earlier it was told that he tried to commit suicide. After this it was declared an encounter. Encounters happen with terrorists and underworld criminals. The police is trying to save a person sitting in a high position. He said that the CJI should take suo motu cognizance of the case.
