The passengers in the helicopter were from Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Garhwal Inspector General of Police IG Gave statement
On the Kedarnath helicopter crash, Garhwal Inspector General of Police (IG) Rajiv Swaroop said that the helicopter had left for Guptkashi with 6 pilgrims after visiting the Kedarnath temple. There were dense fog and strong winds in the Gaurikund area, causing the helicopter path and lost contact. After this, he was reported to have crashed. After this, the police and SDRF have been sent to the spot.

IG Rajiv said that the helicopter included pilot Rajveer, Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee employee Vikram Rawat, passenger Vinod Singh, his wife Trishti Singh, Rajkumar, Shraddha and Rashi (10). It also had a 1 year old child. The possibility of death of all these people is reported.
