Himachal Pradesh's weather is going to change, there will be heavy rain for 2 days, yellow alert issued

Himachal Pradesh Weather: The weather remained clear in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla and other cities on Sunday. The heat has increased due to lack of rain in the plains for the last three days and the maximum temperature has reached 35 degrees Celsius. The heat is also being felt in Shimla due to the sunshine. According to the weather department’s forecast, there will be no significant change in the weather for the next two days. But it is expected to rain due to the monsoon becoming active from the night of 24 September.

Meteorological Center Shimla has predicted rain on 25 and 26 September. In this regard, a yellow alert has been issued for thunder and lightning in the plains and mid-mountain areas. On September 25, there will be a yellow alert in eight districts except Una, Hamirpur, Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur. Whereas on September 26, a yellow alert has been issued for the remaining 10 districts except Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur. In the yellow alert, people are advised to keep a watch in view of the bad weather. The weather will remain bad on September 27 and 28 as well, but there will be no alert. There was no rain anywhere in the state during the last 24 hours.

Kuldeep Srivastava, Director of Meteorological Centre Shimla, said that monsoon is now in its last phase and there is a possibility of monsoon rain at some places on 25 and 26 September. He said that during this time there is a possibility of thunder and lightning at some places. In such a situation, people should be cautious while going out of their homes. Avoid unnecessary travel in bad weather and also do not go towards landslide prone areas and rivers and streams.

On Sunday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 15.4 degrees in Shimla, 19.5 degrees in Sundernagar, 20.7 degrees in Bhuntar, 13.2 degrees in Kalpa, 18.9 degrees in Dharamsala, 19.4 degrees in Una, 22.8 degrees in Nahan, 10.1 degrees in Keylong, 17.5 degrees in Palampur, 19.2 degrees in Solan, 14.5 degrees in Manali, 21.1 degrees in Kangra, 8.9 degrees in Kukumseri and 15.2 degrees Celsius in Kasauli.

Meanwhile, according to the State Emergency Operations Centre, vehicular movement is going on smoothly on all national highways in the state. However, about two dozen connecting roads are closed due to landslides. 10 roads in Kangra district, nine in Mandi district and five in Shimla district are blocked. These are the roads which were closed due to heavy landslides in the past few days. The Public Works Department is busy in restoring them.
