This is 24 percent less than the average annual rainfall of 618.9 mm during the monsoon season.

This information has been released by the Meteorological Department. According to the data, the maximum decrease in rainfall (73 percent) has been recorded in Lahaul and Spiti district. After this, Kinnaur has received 43 percent less water, Chamba and Una have received 34 percent less water. The condition of other areas is also similar.
Officials have said that this monsoon, from July 27 to Saturday evening, 151 people have died due to rain-related accidents. The state has been estimated to suffer a loss of about Rs 1265 crore due to rain and floods. The weather in the state has been clear since Saturday evening. Rain has been recorded in Neri and Kufri. The local meteorological department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain, storm and lightning in the state on September 3. In view of the possibility of further rain, the government is making all efforts. So that any kind of loss of life and property can be minimized.
