Navsari: PM Modi, who reached Gujarat tour, spoke to Lakhpati Didis on the occasion of Women’s Day in Navsari and then did a big road show. After this, PM Modi while addressing more than 1.1 lakh women at the Lakhpati Didi program in Vansi-Borsi, Navsari, said that his government is working to empower every woman. He said, “My life account is blessed by crores of mothers, sisters, daughters and it is constantly growing and hence I say that I am the most rich person in the world.” PM Modi also launched various schemes including G-Safal and G-Maitri in Navsari.
‘I bow my mother and bow to my mother’s power’
Addressing the women, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘I got the blessings of Mother Ganga in Mahakumbh and today I got the blessings of all the mothers and sisters in this Mahakumbh of mother power. Today, on Women’s Day, my motherland in Gujarat and on this particular day, in the presence of all the mothers, sisters, daughters, I bow my mother and bow to your mother power for your love, affection and blessings. Today it is the day to take inspiration from women for all of us. I greet you and thank you all. ‘
I am the most rich person in the world: PM
PM Modi said, ‘Today is the day to take inspiration from women, learn from them. I greet you and thank you all. Today I can proudly say that I am the most rich person in the world. There is a blessing of crores of mothers, sisters, daughters in the account of my life and it is constantly growing and so I say that I am the richest person in the world. ‘
Women took full responsibility of this event: PM
PM Modi said, ‘In this program of Navsari here, we can see the power of women power. Women have taken full responsibility of this event. Policemen and officers posted in the protection of such a big event are all women. From constables, SP, DSP to senior officer, security arrangements are being handled by women here. This is an example of the power of female power. When I meet all of you, my faith is strong that the resolve of a developed India will be fulfilled and women power will play a big role in it.
Women are waving in every region and dimension of the country: PM
PM Modi said, ‘Whether it is politics or playground, judiciary or police, women are waving in every region and dimension of the country. Since 2014, the participation of women in important positions in the country has increased rapidly. Since 2014, most women have become ministers in the central government and there has been a big increase in the presence of women in Parliament.
PM Modi said, ‘In the scriptures, women have been called Narayani. The honor of women is the first step of development of society and country. Therefore, to make India a developed country, for the rapid development of India, today India has walked on the path of women-laid development. Our government gives the top priority to both respect and convenience in the lives of women.
PM Modi talked to women beneficiaries
Earlier, PM Modi interacted with the beneficiaries of ‘Lakhpati Didi’ scheme. Modi, who attended the ‘Lakhpati Didi Sammelan’ in Vansi Borsi village, also distributed financial assistance of Rs 450 crore to more than 2.5 lakh women of more than 25,000 self-help groups (SHG). The ‘Lakhpati Didi’ scheme was launched by the Central Government in 2023 and has been recognized as women members of self -help groups as ‘Lakhpati Didi’ which have an annual income of at least Rs 1 lakh from agriculture, animal husbandry and small industries.
Women shared their experiences with PM
Modi participated in ‘Prerna Samvad’ with a group of ‘Lakhpati Didis’, in which women shared their experiences. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Navsari MP CR Patil were also present on the occasion. In this program organized on International Women’s Day, only women police personnel were deployed for security.
