Odisha: A sensational incident has come to light from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhubaneswar. Here on Tuesday night, B.Tech third year student Kritika Raj (23) committed suicide by jumping from the hostel roof. In the initial investigation, the police is considering it a case of suicide.
The reason for the suicide is not known yet. The police is investigating the case and the student’s family has been informed about it. Kritika Raj, a 23-year-old student of IIT Bhubaneswar, was a resident of Delhi. It is being told that late at night Kritika jumped from the roof of the administrative building. This created a stir there. Immediately other students admitted her to the hospital of IIT campus. Later she was referred to Capital Hospital. Where doctors declared her dead.
According to media reports, Kritika Raj fell from the fifth floor of the administrative building of IIT. IIT Bhubaneswar said in a statement, “Around 11 pm on Tuesday night, a student fell from the fifth floor of the administrative building, which also houses the library. The police were immediately informed and the matter is being investigated. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and sent the body to Khurda District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem. After this incident, a wave of mourning has spread across the campus. At the same time, the police is seriously investigating the matter to find out the reasons behind the death of the student.
