There will be performance ranking of all the district magistrates of the state. They will be ranked according to their work. Chief Secretary Amritlal Meena gave this instruction in a high level meeting with the heads of all departments on Tuesday. He said that it should be ensured that the benefits of the development schemes and welfare schemes of the state government reach the common people. Now the ranking of DMs in Bihar will be decided on the basis of performance. Action will also be taken against the DM of the district whose performance is poor.
After the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that all aspects will be taken into consideration in the ranking of the District Magistrates. The objective of their performance will be made the basis. For this, guidelines have been given to the concerned officers. Strictness will be taken in the districts performing poorly. This will also inspire to do better. Along with this, the implementation of development schemes will also be accelerated. Amritlal Meena is in full action as soon as he took charge as the Chief Secretary.
Earlier, CS Amrit Meena has said that he will not work sitting in the office but will work in the field. Recently, in a meeting with officials in Jumai, he said that Bihar is leading in development. But the pace of this development will have to be accelerated further. The administrative system here is satisfactory. Improving basic facilities like health, education, electricity, drinking water, roads, irrigation, sewerage and streets will also be a priority. He stressed on the implementation of various schemes and programs and gave constructive suggestions regarding effective efforts to speed it up.

He said that he will soon hold a meeting with the officials to review the progress of the schemes and prepare strategies as per the need. He will also prepare a blueprint to solve the problem of unemployment. He taught the lesson of bringing innovation in the work system, using technology as much as possible and taking accountability seriously. He sought appropriate cooperation from the officials to run the work smoothly.
He wants to give a lot to the state. He will make every effort for this. He has held many responsible positions here before. He has full faith in the bureaucracy here. Soon after visiting the state, he will prepare a blueprint for development and start the work. He instructed the officials to complete the schemes with high quality within the stipulated time frame and to monitor it continuously.
