A case of a person sacrificing himself during Navratri has come to light in Dharsiwa area of Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. This incident took place in Ninawa village, where a devotee sacrificed his own neck to his deity. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after this incident. The age of the deceased is said to be 55 years.
On receiving information about the matter, the police reached the spot, established a route and started investigation. The person cut his neck with scissors. According to the information, Bhuneshwar Yadav, resident of Ninawa village of Dharsiwa, committed suicide by cutting his neck with scissors in front of the Devasthan located inside his house. After the incident, the room of the temple was soaked in blood. This incident is being reported around 11 am on Saturday morning.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation. Villagers believe that Bhuneshwar Yadav sacrificed himself due to superstition. However, the police are investigating the case and trying to find out whether it is really a suicide or there could be a murder angle in it.
