Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday appreciated the state government’s budget of 2025-26. He described this budget as a symbol of commitment to make the state rich, developed and comfortable the lives of citizens. He said that this budget is a roadmap to systematically implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘developed India’ vision through public welfare schemes.
Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai presented a budget of Rs 3.70 lakh crore in the assembly. There is no proposal for any new tax. The biggest feature of the budget was that stamp duty on mortgage deeds and Rs 148 crore tax relief was given by cutting motor vehicle tax on electric vehicles (EV).
What did Bhupendra Patel say on the budget?
The Chief Minister said, “This budget is a blueprint to systematically implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘developed India’ through public welfare schemes. Under this, a developed Gujarat fund of Rs 50,000 crore to promote the development of the state. It has been announced. This is the largest budget in the history of the state, which shows a 21.8 percent increase in the previous year.
He said, “Budget is a successful attempt to make the lives of citizens of Gujarat more comfortable, prosperous and satisfactory. Six regional economic schemes will be developed for Surat, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Saurashtra and Kutch to speed up the development of developed Gujarat. ”Patel said that two new Greenfield Expressway and 12 new high-speed corridors will be developed. .
