A daughter from Indore, who had gone from Madhya Pradesh to Tamil Nadu to study, has been missing for the past several days. The name of the missing student is Ojasvi Gupta and her age is 21 years. Ojasvi is pursuing MCA from NIT (National Institute of Technology), Tiruchirappalli. After not being able to contact him for several days, his family has requested the Madhya Pradesh government to trace him. On the other hand, in this matter, State Congress President Jitu Patwari has also requested the government to bring the daughter of Madhya Pradesh home as soon as possible.
Giving information about this, the family said that their daughter has been missing for about 15 days and before going missing, she had written a letter in which she narrated the mental torture she faced from the boys after becoming the CR (Class Representative) of her class in NIT. And mentioned academic pressure. Ojasvi has written this letter titled ‘The sad truth of the male-dominated world’.
Father said – daughter is missing since September 15
Speaking to PTI about this on Tuesday, Ojaswi’s father Nutesh Gupta said that his daughter had gone missing from the NIT hostel on September 15 and has not been traceable since then. His mobile phone is also switched off. Gupta told that on August 10, he had got his daughter admitted in NIT, from where she is doing MCA. He told that for the first time his daughter has gone out of her hometown Indore for studies.
The girl’s father said, ‘Before going missing, my daughter had left a letter in which she had mentioned mental torture and academic pressure after becoming CR in NIT Trichy.’ He alleged that Ojasvi was harassed by his classmates after becoming CR. He said, ‘It was my daughter’s dream to study in NIT. His dream also came true. But we did not know that she would disappear from the institute within a month.
According to the father, Ojasvi’s mother and his brother had also gone to Tiruchirappalli to search for him, where they tried to find him for several days with the help of Tamil Nadu Police but did not get any success. Gupta said he has contacted the Madhya Pradesh government and Indore police to trace his daughter.
Daughter wrote- This period is not good for girls
The letter written by Ojasvi before she went missing is titled ‘The Bitter Truth of a Male-Dominated World’. In it she wrote, ‘It is difficult for any woman, especially if she is not beautiful, to get men to follow her or else. It is very difficult to prepare them to accept the leadership of a woman.
In the letter, the student apologized to her parents and brother and wrote, Sorry Papa, Mama and Special Bhaiya… You taught me everything and anything, but you failed to make me mentally strong, That I can face this mental torture (which is not inflicted by any one person) by standing alone.
Don’t do so much for people that you lose yourself.
Ojasvi further gave a personal advice in the letter, writing, ‘Don’t do so much for people that you lose yourself, because in the end, these are the same people who point fingers at you. This era is not good especially for girls.
At the end of the letter, the student wrote, ‘Bye-bye, don’t make too much of an issue, I had mental pressure, I could not bear it, it is my fault, I will not blame anyone for this. All of you study well, bring a good package, yes, whoever you want to make class representative, make it friend.
Elder brother started crying after mentioning his sister
On the other hand, Palash Gupta, elder brother of the missing student, burst into tears while talking about his sister. He said, ‘With each passing day the fear is increasing in our minds that something untoward might have happened. But we pray that wherever my sister is, she remains safe.
Ojaswi’s sister-in-law told that ‘she was studying well there, after becoming CR, the boys there tortured her a lot mentally, due to which she got upset and without telling anything to anyone, she left a letter and went somewhere. In the last CCTV footage, she is seen coming out of the campus. He said that we are very upset and we want the CM and the state government to help in the safe return of our daughter.
Jitu Patwari also appealed to the government for help
PCC President Jitu Patwari posted about this on social media and wrote, ‘Ujjain’s daughter Ojasvi Gupta, who was studying in a prestigious college in Tamil Nadu, has been missing for the last one month. The daughter’s parents are deeply worried, and despite numerous assurances, no concrete steps have been taken by the government to locate her. I request Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to talk to the Tamil Nadu government at the government level to find the daughter of the state and bring the daughter of Madhya Pradesh back home as soon as possible.
Regarding this, Indore Police Commissioner Rakesh Gupta said that he has spoken to Tiruchirappalli police officials about the missing of Ojasvi and told them that Indore Police is ready to help them find him.
