A case of hurting the faith of Hinduism has come to light in Bhanpura Nagar Parishad of Mandsaur district. Actually, the idols of Lord Ganesha taken for immersion were thrown in the drain and the video of this incident also went viral on social media. When the workers of the Hindu organization came to know about this incident, they gathered in large numbers and started creating a ruckus. A driver has been suspended in the case, and the CMO has also apologized.
In the video of this incident, it can be seen that the Nagar Parishad employees are seen removing the statues from the tractor-trolley and throwing them in the drain filled with dirt. As soon as the video reached the people, anger spread among the Hindu organizations. Saints and people of Hindu organizations staged a protest. During this, a saint said that the sentiments of the Hindu society have been hurt by this act. We are demanding the suspension of the CMO.
During this, the angry workers took to the streets along with Sant Prakashnath and started demanding action against the negligent employees. They called for a bandh at Bhanpura Jai Stambh from Wednesday evening.
Garoth SDOP Rajaram Dhakad arrived at the spot with the police force. He explained to the people. After this, the CMO took action in this matter and suspended the tractor driver Sanjay Pancholi who was responsible for the incident. Along with this, CMO Ashfaq Khan issued a video on social media in this matter and publicly apologized. After this, the protest ended at the Vijay Stambh of Bhanpura at around 9 o’clock.
Here, the angry people started protesting by blocking the road and insisted on the demand of suspending the Municipal Council CMO Ashfaq Khan. When Hindu organizations called for a bandh, Bhanpura town also closed down. SDM Chander Singh Solanki, SDOP Rajaram Dhakad and police administration staff were present on the spot.
On the other hand, in this case, after receiving a complaint about the viral video, the police have also registered an FIR against the council employee for negligence and hurting religious sentiments and the Municipal Corporation SMO Ashfaq Khan issued a video on social media apologizing to the Hindu community and said that such an incident will not be repeated.
CMO Ashfaq Khan apologized
After the video of disrespectful behaviour with idols went viral, CMO Ashfaq Khan released a video on social media and said, ‘As soon as the video of the incident surfaced, I suspended the driver of the vehicle, Mangilal Pancholi. I was on duty at Sunari Ghat where idol immersion was being done. The sentiments of Hindu religion have been hurt. I assure everyone that such an incident will not happen again in the near future. I apologize to those Hindu brothers who have been hurt by this incident.’
