IPS Jyestha Maitreyi: IPS officer Jyestha Maitreyi is in the news these days. In fact, Jyeshtha Maitreyi, Superintendent of Police of Bhiwadi district of Rajasthan, has suspended seven police employees including the cyber cell incharge of her own district. SP Jyestha has taken this action against police personnel for spying on their location. When this matter got serious and spying was done by tracing the location of another IPS officer, the police headquarters has ordered a detailed investigation into the entire matter.

Who is IPS Jyestha Maitreyi?

Jyestha Maitreyi IPS is a resident of Guna district of Madhya Pradesh. Jyestha is a 2018 batch IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre. His father Girish Chandra Arya is working in Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board. IPS Jyestha’s mother Manju is the principal of Government Higher Secondary School, Guna. Jyestha was promising in studies since childhood. His dream was to join civil service. Jyestha studied B.Tech from Jaypee Institute.

It was during the B.Tech final year that he appeared for the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission examination. In the year 2014, he not only passed the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission. He also got selected for the post of DSP. But Jyestha wanted to become an IAS. While working as DSP, Jyestha prepared and appeared for UPSC exam.

In the year 2018, Jyestha Maitreyi became an IPS officer by securing 156th rank in the Union Public Service Commission examination. During training, Jyestha Maitreyi got her first posting in Girwa circle of Udaipur district. After this he was made ASP of Bhilwara. After this, IPS Jyestha also served as DCP Crime Jaipur. In February 2024, Jyestha was given the responsibility of the post of Superintendent of Police of Bhiwadi district.

Police personnel used to spy on SP Bhiwadi

In the espionage case, SP Bhiwadi Jyestha Maitreyi has suspended seven police employees including the cyber cell in-charge. Preliminary investigation in that case has revealed that whenever SP Bhiwadi used to go on leave. Then seven police personnel including cyber cell incharge Shravan Joshi used to trace his location. The investigation of this case has been handed over to the DSP of SC-ST Cell by Police Headquarters, Jaipur.
