After the murder of senior NCP leader and three-time MLA Baba Siddiqui, his son Zeeshan has posted on social media. At the same time, Maharashtra’s Mumbai Police on Saturday issued a suspension order against former MLA Baba Siddiqui’s police security guard Shyam Sonawane. Head constable Sonawane, attached to the security branch of Mumbai Police, has been suspended for negligence. Earlier, the crime branch of Mumbai Police, which is investigating the murder case, had interrogated Sonawane. Nine people have been arrested so far in this case.
Meanwhile, another important clue has emerged in the investigation, in which the photograph of Baba Siddiqui’s son Zeeshan Siddiqui has been found on the phone of one of the accused. This picture was shared by his handler with the accused through Snapchat. The investigation also revealed that both the shooter and the conspirators used Snapchat to exchange information and commit the crime.
Earlier, five more people were arrested on Friday for providing arms and logistical support to the shooters in the Baba Siddiqui murder case. The total number of people arrested in this sensational case has now reached nine, while three people are absconding. Siddiqui was shot at and seriously injured near the office of his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui in Nirmal Nagar in Mumbai’s Bandra area on October 12. Baba Siddiqui, who joined NCP from Congress, died after some time in the nearby Lilavati Hospital.
