Jharkhand News: Today, due to heavy rains in Jharkhand, a big rock fell on the Sidhwar-Sanki railway track. Due to which an engine also got damaged. The railway track has also been damaged due to the falling of the rock. In view of which, the route of all the trains coming from that route has been changed. These include Patna-Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat Express and Asansol-Hatia-Asansol Express. The railway management has sent a rescue team to the spot.
A rock fell on tunnel number 2 of Sidhwar-Sanki railway line
According to the information received so far about this accident, a big rock suddenly fell on the railway track from above near tunnel number two between Sidhwar-Sanki railway section. The rock got stuck in the front part of the engine returning from Sanki to Barkakana and was dragged inside the tunnel. The good thing was that no major accident happened. The rock got stuck in the engine and was dragged for about 100 meters. After this accident, the rescue team has reached there. A net is being installed to prevent any rock from falling on the railway track again. But this net will still not be able to stop big rocks.
Which trains had their routes diverted?
Immediately after this incident, Dhanbad Railway Division once again diverted the route of Vande Bharat and an express train on Barkakana-Ranchi via Sanki BIT Mesra route. Earlier, Patna-Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat Express and Asansol-Hatia-Asansol Express used to go to Barkakana, Sidhwar, Hehal, Sanki, BIT Mesra, Tatisilve, Ranchi, but now these trains will come only to Barkakana via Muri.
What did the railway department say
Dhanbad’s Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and Senior Public Relations Officer Amresh Kumar issued a press release and gave this information. He also informed that train number 22349- 22350 Patna- Ranchi- Patna Vande Bharat Express, which will open on 18 September, will go via Barkakana- Muri- Ranchi. Whereas train number 13513- 13514 Asansol- Hatia- Asansol Express, which will open from 18 September, will run via Barkakana- Muri- Ranchi.
