Kailash Gehlot: Aam Aadmi Party has suffered a major setback on Sunday before the Delhi Assembly elections. Delhi Transport Minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Kailash Gehlot has resigned from the party. Kailash Gehlot has written a letter to Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, resigning from the ministerial post and the party.
After the resignation of Kailash Gehlot, there has been an earthquake in the politics of Delhi. In his resignation, he has raised the issue of construction of Sheesh Mahal and cleaning of Yamuna. Shri Gehlot has written in the letter that during the last elections, we had promised the public to clean Yamuna, but till now the work of cleaning Yamuna river has not been done. We could not fulfill the promise made to the public.
Along with the ministerial post, Kailash Gehlot has also left the primary membership of AAP. In the letter sent to the Chief Minister of Delhi and the AAP convener, Kailash Gehlot has strongly attacked the government and the party. He wrote in the letter that he had joined Aam Aadmi Party because of his honest image. It is no longer like that at all. He described the residence of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as ‘Sheesh Mahal’. Also made many serious allegations.
He wrote in the letter that there are many shameful and strange controversies like Sheesh Mahal which raise doubts whether we should believe in being a common man. It is now clear that real progress cannot happen if the Delhi government spends most of its time fighting the Centre. He further wrote in the letter that now I have no other option left except separation from ‘AAP’. Therefore, I am resigning from the primary membership of Aam Aadmi Party.
Kailash Gehlot showed mirror to Kejriwal: Virendra Sachdeva
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has given his reaction after Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot resigned from the ministerial post and primary membership of the party. He said that Kailash Gehlot has shown the mirror to AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal. Kailash Gehlot did not want to be a part of Arvind Kejriwal and his ‘lootera’ gang. He has taken a very bold step and it should be appreciated.
