Kailash Gehlot was born in Delhi on 22 July 1974. He is one of the most educated leaders of Aam Aadmi Party. He holds Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Law and Master of Law degrees from Delhi University. In 1995, he graduated from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University.
He did LLB from Delhi Law Campus in 1998 and LLM from Delhi Law Campus in 2002. Kailash Gehlot is a skilled lawyer of Delhi High Court and Supreme Court. He has fought many big cases in his career. Kailash Gehlot has also been a member of the Bar Association of Delhi High Court from 2005 to 2007. He is married to Moushumi Mishra Gehlot and has two daughters.
When did Kailash Gehlot enter politics?
Kailash Gehlot is also included among the leaders close to Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal. He joined the party in 2015. In the same year, he contested for the first time from Nafazgarh assembly seat of South West Delhi and also won.
He became a cabinet minister from MLA in just two years of his political career. By taking the oath in the year 2017, he became the Transport Minister of Delhi.
