Kanpur News: A horrific road accident took place in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, in which there was a massive collision between several vehicles. This accident took place in Jahangirbad area of Ghatampur police station area. In the accident, one woman died on the spot, while half a dozen people were seriously injured. At present, the police is investigating the matter and trying to find out what caused the accident.
According to Ghatampur police station in-charge, this accident occurred due to a collision between a pickup and two trucks. The collision was so strong that the accident became even worse due to the wear and tear on the vehicles. Police reached the spot and immediately started relief work and sent the injured to the nearest hospital. The condition of the injured is said to be serious, while the news of the woman’s death has sent a wave of mourning in the family.
Fierce collision between four vehicles in Kanpur
50-year-old Jayanarayan, a resident of Hansapuram, Kanpur, was returning to Ghatampur with his wife Geeta Gupta. When they reached near Tenapur turn of Ghatampur police station area, Jayanarayan tried to overtake the speeding DCM. During this time there was a massive collision between the pickup and the trolley. When Jayanarayan tried to brake the car, it went out of control and overturned on the highway. In this accident, Jayanarayan’s wife Geeta Gupta died on the spot. At the same time, 32-year-old trolley cleaner Kanharao and Shyam Nagar Chakeri resident Pawan Bajpai, as well as 35-year-old DCM driver Rajendra were injured. Passersby informed the police about the incident, after which the police reached the spot and sent the injured to the hospital in an ambulance. The injured were referred to Kanpur after first aid.
