Karnataka CM Controversy: Now only the Congress high command (Priyanka, Rahul and Sonia) will not be the deciding factor for the post of Chief Minister of Karnataka. Deputy Chief Minister and wealthy politician D.K. Shivkumar sped up his race. He had the upper hand because of his wealth, which is declared to be worth fourteen thousand thirteen crores. He is called the richest MLA of India. Last week, Shivakumar along with his wife Usha performed ‘homa’ at the Kumbakonam temple in neighboring Tamil Nadu. Shaktimath worshiped Pratyangira Devi. This temple of Kumbakonam is considered lucky.
This presiding goddess of South India is very generous. Shivkumar simply reached the court with his family. This was also because Siddaramaiah’s wife got named in a land scam. The case has been filed in the High Court. There was a fight to remove him. Siddaramaiah said that Sonia Gandhi had made him the Chief Minister for full five years. Karnataka Congressmen say that there was talk of a deal for two and a half years. Shivkumar’s wife had a special request to seek the help of the Goddess to avert the impending disaster. Hence, on Vaikuntha Ekadashi i.e. January 10, Shivakumar said that the ‘homa’ done in a temple in Tamil Nadu was for his safety and mental peace.
The Deputy Chief Minister visited temples in Kumbakonam and Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu, following which Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy Gowda alleged that the ‘hom’ was organized to “destroy our enemies”. But Shivakumar said, “I am a person who worships daily and does ‘homa’ regularly. I got this ‘homa’ done for my peace of mind and security.”
Speaking to reporters after offering prayers at the temple, he said, “I pray to God every day for good news. I also pray to God to protect me from those who wish bad for me.” There is nothing hidden in this.” Taking a dig at journalists, Shivakumar said, “You (media) also keep harassing me a lot and keep making new news. I have also requested the media for security.”
According to mythology, the goddess worshiped as ‘Shakti Swaroopini’ (embodiment of power) and ‘Ugra Swaroopini’ (embodiment of cruelty) is believed to descend on earth to destroy her enemies. The goddess is also considered to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva, Vishnu and Adishakti. Shivakumar’s visit to the temple has sparked discussion in the political circles of Karnataka.
Former Chief Minister and BJP MP Basavaraj Bommai remarked that ever since the Congress came to power in Karnataka, there has been instability and internal strife, raising questions about whether Deputy Chief Minister D.K. When will Shivkumar’s patience finally end?
Comparatively, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is an atheist. Was a follower of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia. Became a socialist because of George Fernandes. But he openly believes that the Lingayat and Vakkaliga monasteries of Karnataka thrive on superstition. They all have many times more wealth than Aaron’s treasure.
