For one and a half years, husband has paid punishment for a wife who has never been murdered
Say the negligence of the police or the game of luck, a husband did not have to face punishment for the murder of his wife who had never been murdered. In such a situation, when the matter came in front of the court, the Superintendent of Police (SP) was ordered to present the entire report before the court before 17 April. At the same time, the court also reprimanded the police for this serious lapse. In fact, Suresh, the husband of a woman named Mallige, has told about one and a half years in jail for her murder. But she was seen walking around with her second husband.
Police accused husband on complaining
The case is from Mysore in Karnataka where in December 2020, a husband lodged a complaint of his wife’s disappearance. The wife’s name is Mallig, who went missing from Kushalnagar. Meanwhile, the police found a woman’s skeleton in Bettadarapura area. The police then filed a charge sheet in the court stating that the skeleton belonged to Mallige and was murdered by Suresh. After this, Suresh was also arrested in this case. But meanwhile, on April 1, a friend of Suresh together saw him with another person in Madikeri.
After this, the whole matter was brought to the notice of Additional District and Sessions Court and after that it was produced before the court. Asked to submit a complete report of the case by 17 April in the court. At the same time, Suresh’s lawyer Pandu Pujari said that Suresh, who lives in the village of Kushalnagar, had lodged a complaint with Kushalnagar Rural Police Station regarding the disappearance of his wife in 2020. At the same time a skeleton was found and a year later the police arrested Suresh. It also alleged that he killed his wife due to Suresh’s illicit relationship. But after suffering the sentence for about one and a half years, on 1 April, it was revealed that the wife whose wife was in jail for one and a half years is with another person.
How did such a big lapse with the police
In fact, the police sent the skeleton found with Mallig’s mother’s blood sample to the DNA test. But before the DNA report came, the police filed the final charge sheet in the court. But the DNA report later revealed that the skeleton was not of Mallig. When the application was filed on the basis of this report, the court did not accept it. The same witnesses, including Mallig’s mother and villagers, were asked to testify, everyone testified before the court that she was alive and ran away with someone. However, the accused husband in this case has got bail.
When the police were questioned about the deficiencies of the charge sheet in the court, the police said that the skeleton was of Mallige and Suresh was murdered. But meanwhile, on 1 April, Mallige was seen by Suresh’s friend eating food with a man in a hotel in Madikeri. Which was also a nominated witness in the charge sheet. He gave this complete information to the court.
The court then asked the police to present Mallige immediately. She was produced in court and when she was questioned, it was found that she had run away with another person and she had married her. Malligi himself accepted this whole thing. She also said that she does not know what happened to Suresh. She was living in Shettihalli village, just 25 to 30 km from Madikeri. But the police did not make any effort to locate it.
At the same time, a writ petition will be filed against the police in the High Court to register this false case on behalf of Suresh. Where the Human Rights Commission and ST Commission will also be contacted. At present, the final order of the court in this entire case is still waiting.
