Lakkhi Mela will be organized between 6th and 8th September. Arrangements have been made better for the convenience of the devotees coming to this fair. Himanshu Gautam, the head servant of Trinetra Ganesh Mandir, said that the history of Trinetra Ganesh Mandir of Ranthambore is thousands of years old. The temple is located in Ranthambore Fort. Many types of legends are also popular among the people about Trinetra Ganesh. Many people believe that this idol of Lord Ganesha originated on its own. At the same time, many people believe that when Lord Shiva cut the head of Ganesh Ji in childhood, that head fell here.
Since then, the head of Lord Ganesha is worshipped here. Also, some people say that when Lord Krishna got married, Lord Ganesha was angry about not getting married and with the help of his Musa Sena, he created obstacles in the way of Lord Krishna’s wedding procession. Then Krishna got Lord Ganesha married to Riddhi-Siddhi of Ranthambore. This is the reason why Lord Ganesha is seated with Riddhi-Siddhi in this temple.
Apart from this, if we believe the temple mahant, when King Hamir was ruling Ranthambore fort, Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khilji attacked Ranthambore, then King Hamir stayed in the fort for several months. When the fort’s storehouse was empty, Lord Ganesha appeared in the king’s dream. The next morning all the storehouses were found full. During this time, Ganesh ji’s idol appeared from the ground on its own. Since then, he is worshipped. It is said that the temple was built by Ranthambore’s King Hammir. He told that this is the only temple in the whole world, where Ganesh ji is seated with his complete family, wife Riddhi and Siddhi and two sons Shubh and Labh.
