A drug party was running in a flat in Pune’s Kharadi area, which was exposed by the police on Saturday. The police had received secret information that drugs and hookahs were being consumed in the name of House Party here. On the basis of information, the police raided the flat under the leadership of Crime Branch, from where a large amount of narcotics, alcohol and hookah were recovered. The police have arrested 2 women and 5 men in this case, including the husband of the daughter of a renowned party leader.
7 arrested including NCP leader Rohini Khadse’s husband
Those arrested include Pranjal Khadse, husband of Rohini Khadse, leader of Sharad Pawar faction of NCP. Police said this rave party was running in a flat in the name of the House Party, and liquor bottles and hookahs were seized in it. The police have now started further investigation against those who held the party, and their background is also being investigated.
Case registered under NDPS Act
The police have sealed the flat and registered a case under the NDPS Act and other sections against those caught. The investigation of the entire case is still going on. Giving information about the incident, the police said, “We had received information about running a rave party in an apartment in Kharadi area. After this, our crime branch team conducted raids. During this time, drugs like hemp, liquor and hookah were recovered. We have arrested seven people – five men and two women. Among the arrested people are a woman’s husband.
