Maharashtra Election 2024: The political temperature has increased regarding Maharashtra Assembly elections. In this series, Congress has released the third list of its candidates. In this list, names of candidates have been announced for 16 seats. Earlier, Congress had announced the names of 48 candidates in the first list and 23 candidates in the second list. So far, candidates have been announced for a total of 87 seats. In the first list, State Congress Committee President Nana Patole and former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan were given tickets.

When are elections 2024
Elections are being held on 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. Voting is to be held for all 288 seats here in a single phase on November 20. After this the results will be declared on 23rd November.
Seat distribution in MVA
Whereas seats have been divided in MVA. This distribution has been done on the formula of 85-85-85. That means Uddhav group has to field its candidates on 85 seats, Sharad Pawar group has to field its candidates on 85 seats and Congress has to field its candidates on 85 seats. MVA’s allies can field their candidates on the remaining seats.
